Our Story

Steve and Jackie Moody purchased Banc Y Llain in September 2021 and took over the Jabajak Vineyard Restaurant & Rooms business at the same time.

The three upgraded, gorgeous suites offer plenty of space, and with a further five individually designed bedrooms, it works as a much for a corporate retreat as a staycation. Rooms start from £120.00 for double occupancy, including a full breakfast, and all have king beds, en-suite showers, Smart HD TVs, luxury toiletries, robes and Tassimo coffee machines. The Grainstore and Farmhouse Suites both have slipper baths.

The previous owners, the Stuart-Robson family, started the original Jabajak business in 2004 and planted the vineyard in 2007.

For centuries Banc Y Llain was a droving farm and was a key stopping point for farmers driving their cattle off the Preseli mountains in North Pembrokeshire onto markets in Carmarthen or further east.

As the cattle had to walk all the way, they had to be shod and this was done in the stone buildings that are now our Smithy restaurant. Also our Cowshed function room was originally a cowshed!
